Privacy Policy

1. Information We Collect Directly

We do not directly collect, store, sell, or share personal information provided by users.

The App does not require you to create an account or provide information such as your name, email address, phone number, home address, or date of birth.

Player names entered while setting up a game are used only for the operation of the game. We do not intentionally transmit those names to our own servers.

Game settings and gameplay information are used to provide the App's functionality and are not intentionally collected by us on an external server.

2. Advertising

The free version of Imposter displays advertisements through Google AdMob, a service operated by Google.

Google and its advertising partners may automatically process information to provide, measure, secure, and improve advertisements. Depending on your device, region, consent choices, and Google settings, this may include:

• Device and advertising identifiers;
• IP address;
• Device type and operating system information;
• Interactions with advertisements;
• Advertising performance and diagnostic information;
• Approximate information derived from an IP address; and
• Other technical information necessary to deliver and measure ads.

Where required by applicable law, personalized advertising is used only in accordance with the user's consent choices.

We do not receive information from AdMob that directly identifies you by name, email address, or similar contact information.

3. Advertising Consent

For users in regions where consent is required, including the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom, and Switzerland, the App may present a privacy or consent message before requesting personalized advertising.

Where available, users can change or withdraw advertising privacy choices through privacy options provided within the App. Depending on those choices, Google may provide personalized or non-personalized advertising.

4. Remove Ads Purchase

Imposter offers an optional one-time in-app purchase called Remove Ads.

Purchases are processed through Google Play Billing on Android and, if made available on iOS, through Apple's in-app purchase system.

We do not directly receive or store your payment card number, bank account information, or other payment credentials.

The applicable app store may provide the App with information required to determine whether the Remove Ads product has been purchased, including product identifiers, transaction identifiers, purchase tokens or receipts, purchase status, and related technical information.

5. Purchase Verification

The App may use IAPKit / OpenIAP to securely verify in-app purchases.

When verification is performed, information such as product identifiers, purchase tokens, receipts, transaction information, and relevant platform information may be transmitted to the verification service and the applicable app store.

This information is used to verify purchases, determine entitlement to Remove Ads, and help prevent fraudulent or invalid purchases. We do not use purchase-verification information for advertising.

6. Third-Party Services

These providers may process information according to their own privacy policies and legal obligations.

7. Data Sharing

We do not sell users' personal information and do not maintain our own database of personal user profiles.

Information may be processed by third-party providers where necessary for advertising, payment processing, purchase verification, security, fraud prevention, and legal compliance.

8. Data Retention

Because we do not operate our own user-account database, we do not retain personal account information about users.

Information processed by Google, Google Play, AdMob, IAPKit/OpenIAP, or other third-party service providers may be retained according to those providers' respective retention policies.

Information necessary to establish ownership of a non-consumable in-app purchase may be retained by the applicable app store so that the purchase can be restored.

9. Data Deletion

Because Imposter does not provide user accounts and we do not maintain our own database containing users' personal information, there is generally no personal account data held by us for a user to delete.

Users may reset or remove locally stored App information by clearing the App's data through device settings or uninstalling the App.

Information processed independently by third-party providers is subject to those providers' respective privacy and deletion controls.

10. Security

We seek to minimize the amount of user information processed by the App. Where information is transmitted to third-party services, those communications are handled using the security mechanisms provided by those services and the operating platform.

No electronic transmission or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

11. Children's Privacy

Imposter is a party game that may be enjoyed by a wide audience. We do not knowingly collect children's names, contact details, or account information through our own servers.

If the App is directed toward or used by children, advertising will be configured in accordance with applicable Google Play, Google AdMob, and child-directed advertising requirements. Where required, personalized advertising will not be used for users identified as children or for child-directed treatment.

12. International Processing

Third-party service providers used by the App may process information on servers located outside the user's country of residence. Those providers are responsible for handling such information in accordance with applicable data-protection requirements and their respective privacy policies.

13. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when App features, advertising providers, purchase services, or legal requirements change. When the policy is updated, the “Last updated” date at the top of this page will be changed.

15. Summary

Imposter does not require an account and we do not directly operate a user-data collection system.

The App uses third-party services for advertising and in-app purchases. Those providers may process limited device, advertising, transaction, and technical information necessary to provide their services.

Users who purchase the Remove Ads upgrade will no longer be shown advertisements within the App.
